Global Labour University

If you can , please help

We are facing unprecedented global challenges – from the climate crisis, military conflicts, and desperate mass migration to far-right authoritarianism.  The zeitgeist seems to have gone off the rails, favouring resentment and prejudice over reason and solutions. Today, more than ever, the GLU is needed to enable trade unionists to study together, to network globally and to shape the future.

This year, we are proudly celebrating the 20th anniversary of the GLU. Over 1,000 trade unionists have studied at the Global Labour University campuses. Almost 30,000 joined our online courses. A great global network of Alumni developed.  The Global Labour Column has become a place where issues critical for the labour movement can be openly discussed. The GLU conferences are great gatherings to share and debate new ideas. GLU Alumni, who had to flee their countries, are supported by the GLU in their tireless work for freedom and labour rights.

Whilst we celebrate our achievements, unfortunately, precarious funding has been with us all these years. The need to maintain the network, provide scholarships and support trade unionists at risk is growing, while at the same time, it is becoming more challenging to raise funds.

Your solidarity is vital to fund our core activities and strengthen our independence. If you can, please support us with a yearly contribution of 100, 200 or 500 euros.  If you would like to donate regularly, please return the direct debit authorisation below to Romke Buchholz romke.buchholz@global-labour-university.org  or alternatively, you can make a direct payment to our bank account or PayPal

The GLU e.V. is a recognised non-profit organisation and donations are tax deductible in Germany and most EU countries.

A thousand thanks and in solidarity,

The Global Labour University
