Regional Alumni Workshop 2022, Berlin

The Regional Alumni Workshop was held in Berlin, May 20 - 22 2022. 

The event gathered GLU Alumni and partners from the world of work, including guests from the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES), University of Kassel, University of Bielefeld, Public Services International and others. The workshop was funded by the DAAD with funds from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). 

The sessions were centred on topics such as the news from the GLU network, international solidarity, trade unions and rising authoritarianism,  labour during and after the Covid-19 crisis, global supply chains, European due diligence legislation, and a new configuration of the global economy. 

Parallel sessions organised by GLU Alumni discussed women’s rights and empowerment, and solidarity actions with labour activists facing oppression.  The event was concluded on Sunday, May 22, with a talk on GLU Alumni networking and future projects.
